Projekt „MŁODE GŁOWY. Otwarcie o zdrowiu psychicznym” został zainicjowany przez Fundację UNAWEZA Martyny Wojciechowskiej, która działa w Polsce i na krańcach świata. 

 Opiera się na trzech kluczowych filarach, które mają ogromne znaczenie dla zdrowia psychicznego młodych ludzi. Oddajemy młodym głos, normalizujemy sięganie po pomoc i dostarczamy narzędzi potrzebnych do przezwyciężania kryzysu psychicznego. Celem Fundacji jest uświadamianie młodym ludziom, czym jest pierwsza pomoc psychologiczna i dlaczego może ona uratować czyjeś życie.

 Młodzież często potrafi rozwiązywać skomplikowane równania matematyczne, zna cały okres rozwojowy pantofelka, a tak niewiele wie o sobie samych, o swoim zdrowiu czy potrzebach. Często nadal często pokutuje stereotyp, że do psychologa w szkole idzie się „za karę”, a rodzice wstydzą się przyznać, że ich dziecko mierzy się problemami. Chcemy to zmienić. Zaprosiliśmy do współpracy szereg ekspertów, fundacji, organizacji pozarządowych i instytucji, bo tylko razem możemy wypracować najlepsze rozwiązanie.

UNAWEZA Foundation

Nearly a MILION young people in Poland may be experiencing a mental health crisis. They need our support right now. The YOUNG HEADS project aims to normalize reaching out for help, develop young people's sense of agency and strengthen their self-esteem. Educational and preventive initiatives are addressed to children, adolescents, parents and teachers.

The project "YOUNG HEADS. Openly about Mental Health" was initiated by Martyna Wojciechowska's UNAWEZA Foundation. We have projects in Poland and at the ends of the world.

It is built on three key pillars that are of great importance for the mental health of young people. We give young people a voice, normalize reaching out for help and provide the tools needed to overcome a mental health crisis. The Foundation aims to make young people aware of what psychological first aid is and how it can save someone's life.

Young people can often solve complex mathematical equations and at the same time know so little about themselves, their health or their needs. In Poland often the stereotype that one goes to the psychologist at school "as punishment" is still common, and parents are ashamed to admit that their child struggles. We want to change this. We have invited a number of experts, foundations, NGOs and institutions, because only together can we work out the best solution.

What do we do?
 

• We talk about mental health OPENLY. We normalize reaching out for help and provide concrete tools for youth, parents and teachers.
• We created the YOUTH HEADS REPORT based on the largest survey of mental health, self-esteem and agency. 184,000 young people took part in it!
• We introduced a free PROFILACTIONARY PROGRAM: 300,000 young people from nearly 1,500 schools across Poland, with a coordinator in each of the 16 provinces, a total of more than 2,000 school leaders - and this is only the first year of our program.
• We created the GOLDEN STANDARD OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT FOR SCHOOLS, which includes specific solutions to protect the mental health of students, and the COMPENDIUM OF KNOWLEDGE, which can be downloaded free of charge from mlodeglowy.pl!
• We took part in more than 40 local and national EVENTS! We participate in parliamentary sessions, debates, concerts, festivals and conferences. You can also meet us at schools and teacher workshops.
•  Information about our project has appeared in the media nearly 5,000 times. We want to reach everyone who needs support.

We are there for all YOUNG HEADS. No exceptions!
